On the surface, Israeli high-tech is thriving, there is no debate about that. However, beneath the surface, surprising trends are brewing that not everyone is aware of. If you have recently tried to recruit development personnel, you may have noticed that it is not simple. If you have tried to recruit engineers or developers in specific fields, you may have noticed the problem. A shortage has developed in certain fields, in professional manpower. For this reason and for other reasons, in several fields, high-tech companies in Israel no longer rely solely on local employees.

Beyond the Standard – Creating Special Websites

Creating a regular website is not too big of a problem. The problem begins to arise when you want to lead something special, with specific features and impressive capabilities. While in the world you can see more special websites, in Israel, it exists only in much more limited companies. Therefore, Israeli high-tech companies have long since started to create applications and launch special website development, not only based on local employees. Web developers who have already experienced similar challenges in their home countries contribute their experience to quite a few projects that are being realized these days.

Developments in the Gaming Field

So far, the Israeli high-tech industry has not really entered the gaming world. There are indeed a few examples here and there, some even with international resonance, but it’s on the fringes. Examples like Playtika only illustrate what we are talking about, as even in this company, most of the workforce is not composed of Israelis. Out of thousands of employees, fewer than a thousand are Israelis and are based in the country. When a high-tech company or a new startup wants to specialize in the field and excel with computer game development, it is difficult to rely solely on local employees. The integration of foreign manpower has become more or less the standard.

Complementary or Main Services for Software Houses

Not one software house and not two, already admit that they use outsourcing in one model or another. It seems that these things include areas of software and hardware development, designs, application development, WordPress design, and more. In fact, it is estimated that in the coming years, many more organic work teams from Israel will work in combination with one or more experts, and sometimes a complementary team from abroad. Now we will briefly review where the manpower comes from, which integrates into Israeli high-tech through outsourcing, remotely.

Outsourcing in India? Not only

India is expected to become one of the world’s major powers within a decade or two. They are the main competitors of China, and their investments in military and civilian technologies are enormous. However, it turns out that in India, unemployment in high-tech is quite high, and many of the educated are looking for jobs in other countries or through outsourcing. In fact, many companies in the United States are already using workers from India, and in Israel, the high-tech sector has followed suit. Outsourcing in India is familiar to many managers and HR professionals in the high industry. However, those who think that Israeli high-tech companies looking for outsourcing should rely solely on workers from India are simply not aware of the newer trend.

Another option considered attractive and practical is to use developers, engineers, and technical consultants from Ukraine. In fact, this is a growing trend to such an extent that many Ukrainian developers have already gained considerable experience working with project managers and Israeli teams. So in summary, software development in Ukraine can be a reasonable and even efficient solution for companies that need additional out-of-the-box solutions, not just local workers. This is common in fields such as gaming, development of new websites, software and hardware development, front-end, Java developments, developments in diverse work environments, Python, and more.
