The “Startup of the Week” spotlight from the Initiative Circle serves as a unique platform for tech entrepreneurs to gain exposure and share their venture with high-tech leaders and decision-makers of the Initiative Circle.
This time in the spotlight, meet Jordan Kastrinsky, the community manager of Front Team and a partner in the vision and values of connecting people, mutual assistance, and empowering tech entrepreneurs.
Who are you, Jordan Kastrinsky? And what is your path as a community manager and head of business development at Front Team?
My name is Jordan Kastrinsky, I am 27 years old, originally from the USA, and for the past four years, I have been living in Israel after making Aliyah.
I started at Front Team while still in the army, serving in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, and began working on video editing and graphic design as an additional income. After I was discharged, I was approached and offered to be a community manager and manage additional groups, and as they say– the rest is history! After some time in the role, we saw that I really enjoy connecting people and creating new business opportunities, and thus I also advanced to the position of head of business development in the community.
Beyond this activity, I see myself as an entrepreneur. I founded a marketing and business development agency, and I really love helping people with everything related to creativity and creating marketing content, whether it’s branding, graphics, videos, podcasts, websites, and more. I also really enjoy assisting our clients in building marketing plans for breaking into international markets and managing a brand on social media pages.
What values drive you as an entrepreneur and community manager of entrepreneurship-related groups?
I really love connecting people. The connections formed between people for the purpose of reciprocity and cooperation give me drive and satisfaction. I strongly believe in karma and how you impact the world, it comes back to you. Therefore, it is important to me that people receive help just as I did when I first arrived in the country.
I see entrepreneurship as a matter of not being dependent on anyone. Knowing how to become the best version of myself, which is not easy and requires a lot of perseverance and daily work, this process is what continues to drive me to become a better entrepreneur. My dream, which will come true in the future, is to try to establish my own startup.
In one word, what is the Front Team community? And who is the community intended for?
It is a vast community for the entire ecosystem of the Israeli startup and high-tech world, open to members worldwide, whether they are abroad or in the country. The main thing is to connect people within the industry, from different verticals, with the aim of building connections, collaborations, a place for exchanging knowledge, professional tips, and business opportunities.
Anyone working in tech or tech entrepreneurship who believes they can contribute and receive help through our communities is welcome to join over 3000 other community members.
What problem does your venture aim to solve?
In one sentence? Quality networking in a simple and efficient way.
We started on WhatsApp with one group whose goal was to create connections. Today, we already manage 12 different communities, including 6 different verticals, and we are also on Telegram, Facebook, and LinkedIn. Additionally, we started a podcast called Talk with Jordan-High Tech on the Low that shares professional knowledge, success stories, and important tips for entrepreneurs.
