Our client  is a 15-year-old Israeli product company specializing in secure mobile devices and enterprise mobility solutions. They develop customized Android firmware by removing Google services, hardening security, embedding centralized management, integrating CVE patches, and more. Key clients include AT&T, US-based medical kit providers, and governmental agencies in Africa.

Key Requirements:

🔹 5+ years of experience in Android firmware and embedded software development;
🔹 Strong, hands-on expertise in AOSP, Android system internals, and firmware customization;
🔹 Proficiency in Git, version control, and Android build systems;
🔹 A deep understanding of Android security, CVE mitigation, and firmware hardening;
🔹Familiarity with secure operating systems such as GrapheneOS and Android kernel modifications;
🔹 Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Jenkins) for firmware packaging and deployment;
🔹 Proven leadership skills to guide a team, manage projects, and drive technical execution;
🔹 English – Upper-Intermediate or higher.

What you will do:

🔹 Develop and maintain custom Android firmware, focusing on AOSP-based builds and security optimizations;
🔹 Manage firmware versions, ensuring compatibility across devices and integrating custom APKs;
🔹 Implement advanced security features, including system modifications and security enhancement;
🔹 Update firmware regularly, applying the latest CVE patches for proactive security;
🔹 Optimize firmware performance and stability across diverse Android platforms.
